This is a really fun blog post for me because I was able to throw a get-together specifically for moms and their young babes..SO FUN!! The theme of the party was to feature Beech-Nut® Naturals™ baby food line which is inspired by homemade. I know when Cora was first starting on solids I tried to make my own food, but seriously that didn’t last long. I had went back to work full-time and juggling that with a young babe was just not easy! So I was on the hunt for a great baby food for her. Beech-Nut® Naturals™ was a line I discovered and fell in love with instantly. It’s made with real fruits and vegetables, just like I would be using at home and its 100% natural. Their slogan “real food for babies™” is completely true! So when Beech-Nut® Naturals™ wanted me to throw a Mommy Party to help share my love of the brand, I was thrilled! We had the bestest time together. The kids got to play together which is always the cutest to see! We all visited together, enjoyed some delicious snacks, played games, just overall just really had a great time!
I do have to toot my own horn on this adorable little dessert I did for the party. I decided to go with Apple has my baby food flavor theme for the party, especially since the party was taking place in mid October. Fall weather…apple picking…apple cider…boppin for apples…you get my drift LOL 🙂 It seemed like the perfect flavor to focus the party around so I have my Beech-Nut® Naturals™ Just Apples flavor on display on the table, then my extra special Apple Bread dessert. But, it wasn’t just any apple bread. I made it with the Beech-Nut® Naturals™ Just Apple baby food AND I put it in Beech-Nut® Naturals™ baby food jars. So each mom had their own individual dessert and it’s a great way to recycle the jars.
Beech-Nut® Naturals™ Just Apples Apple Bread Recipe
- 1.5 cups of Beech-Nut® Naturals™ Just Apple Baby Food
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 up sour cream
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 12 baby food jars
Prior to baking, make sure the labels & residue are completely off the baby food jars. You can soak the jars in warm water to help loosen labels to remove. Also can use a mix of vegetable oil & baking powder to set on the glue residue left over and then scrub off.
- Preheat oven to 325F. Prepare jars by greasing the inside with either coconut oil, cooking spray, etc.
- In a large bowl, whisk ALL the ingredients together EXCEPT flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Add the remaining 3 ingredients ( flour, baking soda, baking powder) and stir. There will be small lumps, don’t worry about trying to get a smooth texture- it won’t be.
- Spoon batter into baby food jars to the 1/2 mark. Place all jars on large cookie sheet.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick is inserted & removed clean.
- Remove the cookie sheet of jars. While they are cooling put the lids back on. Store in fridge until ready to serve.
The Beech-Nut® Naturals™ Apple Bread Jars were a cute little dessert to go along with our party. Plus I was pretty proud of myself for doing it all 😎
Each mom&babe went home with a treat bag with their very own recipe cards for other fun things to make with Beech-Nut® Naturals™ baby food, as well as for my Apple Bread recipe. And of course they had a jar of Beech-Nut® Naturals™ included inside the bag too.
This truly was such a fun party & I’m so happy Beech-Nut® Naturals™ gave us all an amazing reason to get together!
