Easy Halloween Costumes

Halloween Costume Ideas

It’s SPOOKY SEASON and we’re pumped! We decided to do a brand-new set of Halloween Costume Ideas so now you’ll be able to check out last year’s options & now this years too. I mean who doesn’t love a good costume?!?! I know we do!

Last year we started easiest to hardest so let’s do the opposite this time-

1) Emoji’s

Even though this doesn’t look hard, it did take the most “work” out of all our costumes this year.

Cut the Poster Board in large circles. Size of this depends on how big or small you’d like them. After you’re finished cutting, paint them yellow for Emoji face. Once yellow paint dries, you can start on facial expressions. Depending on what Emoji face you’re doing, use compass to draw eye’s- check out your phone’s emojis for inspiration. You can also draw free-hand hearts for eyes too. Tip is to use a light-hand with a pencil in case you have mistakes. Paint eye circles white, or red depending if it’s heart eyes. Once dry, you can add in the eye-balls in the locations you want by reducing size of compass to draw small circles for eye balls, paint in with black acrylic. Using your ruler, make the top straight line of a mouth/smile. To create a smile, take a large bowl & trace around half of bowl to create nice, even half-circle. Fill in with black paint, or add white depending if you’d like teeth. The tongue in our photo was drawn free-hand based on looking at the Emoji image. You can choose whichever Emoji characters you want or that fit your personality. I took 2 white straps I had cut about 6-8 inches long & hot glued them to the back of Emoji face. This allowed for a handle to hold. Put on all black clothes & you’re good to go!

2) Candy Buttons

Using the Electric Knife, cut the Styrofoam balls in half. Once you have them cut, paint 6 halves pink, 6 halves yellow, 6 halves blue. After dry, hot glue on top in rows of 3 as shown in photo above. If you’d like to add a Candy Button Headband to the look, create a bow by folding the 2 ends of candy buttons together in the middle & hot glue. Secure bow on plastic headband with hot glue.

3) Zombie

  • Outfit of Choice
  • Fake Blood
  • White Cream Face Paint
  • Black Eye Shadow
  • Red Lipstick

All the above items are cheaper at your local Dollar Store, Walmart, etc than online.

The Zombie costume is kind of self-explanatory but it does take a little time. You can pick any outfit you want to wear, just add in some rips and holes. Pour fake blood on outfit however you’d like. You can even put fake blood on your hand to add a bloody handprint swipe. Rub some dirt on outfit from outside for an “rougher” look to zombie. Put white cream face paint on face, neck, & arms. Use black eye shadow to hollow out eyes. Add fake blood on face wherever you’d like & finish off with red lipstick.

4) Donuts

Blow up the inflatable donut, set to side. Take a roll of straps and measure approximately 2.5 feet, cut 2 straps this size. Hot glue one end of strap on back of donut at top left-side, the other end at bottom left-side of donut back. Repeat steps with 2nd strap on right-side. This is creating shoulder straps so you can wear the donut & freely be able to move.

Tip- I tried 3 different types of glue on the inflatable donut & hot glue worked the best.

5) Crayola Crayons

This is an easy group costume idea for co-workers or a large family. I found these Crayola Crayon shirts on Etsy. If I would have thought about it prior to taking this photo, I would have made a cone hat for each of us in matching construction paper as the tip of the crayon.

6) Pink Skeletons

This Pink Skeleton Outfit from The Children’s Place would be perfect as a going-to-school costume for little girls. They would still look fun & festive while also being able to easily move around, go to bathroom, run & play like normal.

That’s it for this year ya’ll! Hope you enjoyed it and feel free to leave comments below or tag me if you try any of these on Instagram @tiffany3366.

Happy Halloween!!
