Besides from diapers/wipes, I really believe the next most expensive purchase for our little ones are clothing. They grow so dang fast & before you know it everything you bought for them is already too small. And then of course the seasons change and whether it’s too small or not, they need clothes for the new weather. I’ve tried to get in a routine of buying staple pieces for Cora that are in the next size up so that they will last longer, and actually it’s been working out pretty well. I’m not buying clothes that are way too big for her right now, but items that are big enough that we can make them last as long as possible. Especially with Spring & Summer styles, they go together, really the only difference is adding a pair of shorts with a top instead of leggings etc. I thought since May has started and for us that means warm weather with a nice breeze, it would be the perfect time to share Cora’s staple fashion pieces for Spring/Summer.
I’ve teamed up with Tea Collection to show our picks for the season. Cora’s worn Tea Collection clothing since she was 7-8months old, and the pieces she wore then still look basically brand new today. That’s my favorite part about this clothing line, the quality truly is amazing & it keeps that great quality through tons of washes! Their collections have such fun prints & colors, and they are easily mixed & matched. You can find dress clothes or play clothes on their site, as well as sizes from Baby to Tween for both boys&girls. But I’m not saying that you need all & only Tea Collection clothing, but this is a great line where you can find staple pieces that can be paired with other items. Tea Collection has sophisticated-fun, timeless pieces that will last and in my opinion totally worth what they cost, but they do have sales all the time 😀 !
As you can see, the 2 outfits Cora’s wearing above are casual-play outfits. The leggings are stretchy so Cora can easily move around chasing her ball, practicing her golf, or picking flowers. 😉 The tops are loose & comfortable, and come in such darling prints. And the best thing is, they would go just as great with a pair of shorts when it’s even warmer or even different pants. Like I said before, Tea Collection is great for mixing & matching pieces!
The rompers are probably one of my favorite pieces for the littles. Every collection that comes out has the cutest prints in rompers at Tea Collection . They are easily dressed up or down, so they work for tons of different occasions. Another reason I like them so much for when we’re going out is the snaps at the bottom. When you’re changing a diaper in the car or even on a changing table in a store, it’s not always the easiest to have to remove the entire bottoms. I can just unsnap around Cora’s diaper, change her and snap-snap-snap we’re back to having fun!
This print just says it all doesn’t it! I mean how cute is this banana dress 😆 😆 ! I love this dress for Cora because it’s not tight or stuffy. Let’s be honest toddlers love to move/squirm around so this way she’s able to while still looking stylish. When it’s warm weather, a comfortable dress is a great alternative to shorts all the time. If your area has cooler nights or even just cool weather period, this would be super cute with tights under or a cardigan over.
See how the outfit Cora’s wearing in this photo is dressy enough for a special occasion but soft & fun enough for a day outside?! That’s why I love this brand! Everything is so versatile!!
If you’re looking for something more dressy for a special occasion or church, Tea Collection has that too. The romper Cora is wearing above is definitely not as comfy-soft as the other clothing we showed above, but with saying that it’s not uncomfortable at all. It’s just a different type of feel & a dressier style clothing. They have dresses like this too. Overall they have styles to fit every size, season, color, or occasion you are looking for. They also have a lot of matching prints for both boys & girls so you can have all your kiddos matching!! I love matching family outfits!!
I take all these pieces and incorporate them into her overall spring/summer wardrobe. I’ll mix the tops with different color shorts & leggings with tanks or onesies etc. And hopefully, unless Cora has a huge growth spurt, since I’ve bought these in sizes a little bigger she should be able to wear them going into fall too. And because they are such great quality, she’ll be able to wear them with other layers, and they’ll still look new!
